Pradaxa is a name brand of the anticoagulant drug Dabigatran. This medication is a blood thinner prescribed to patients to prevent serious blood clots and strokes. This medication is typically prescribed for those who suffer from atrial fibrillation (irregular heartbeat) and/or those who have a greater propensity for the chances of clots forming in the body causing stroke.

Dangers and Injuries


Pradaxa has been found to cause uncontrollable internal bleeding, heart attacks and cardiovascular damage. It is also a known fact that if a patient should fall or experience a cut, it will be impossible to stop the bleeding. There appears to be no reversal agent for a traumatic bleeding event. While the Federal Drug Administration is investigating and evaluating reports of these sometimes fatal outcomes (260 worldwide) among patients, more reports are being made.
